After posting sexual images of himself on OnlyFans, a police officer from Watford was found guilty of gross misconduct.
After a misconduct panel found him guilty, Harry Edwards, 25, would have been dismissed from Hertfordshire Constabulary. However, he had already resigned from his role in September 2021. He has now been placed on the barred list.
OnlyFans is a subscription-based online content provider. Content creators may monetise their work by charging those who subscribe to their content on a monthly or one-off basis.
Between March 21, 2020, and July 1, 2020, Edwards behaved in a manner that brought the police service into “disrepute”, in that he opened and operated an account on the OnlyFans social media platform in the name of Brett Hunter.
The standards of professional behaviour engaged are discreditable conduct and duties and responsibilities.
Deputy Chief Constable Bill Jephson said: “The public rightly expects the highest standards of integrity, conduct and behaviour from Hertfordshire Constabulary officers and staff. These standards apply as much to officers’ private lives as well as their professional work. Those who fail on these standards will be subject to disciplinary procedures.
“Ex-PC Edwards has been found to fall short of these standards. His behaviour has amounted to gross misconduct for one account and misconduct for another. He is now on the barred list from ever being a police officer in the future.”
