Homeowners on a Rickmansworth road are continuing their fight to tackle congestion after their victory concerning council parking proposals.
Elm Way residents have managed to get their road removed from Three Rivers District Council’s (TRDC) plan to introduce parking bays in several streets in Rickmansworth West.
Now, they are trying to get changes brought in to combat the road’s continuing traffic problems.
These include drivers ignoring double yellow lines, visitors parking over driveways, and a lack of traffic wardens to police the area.
One resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “We face problems daily. We are seriously considering blocking the road out for road users in protest if we remain ignored.”
A spokesperson for TRDC said: “We have been listening to the concerns of residents and have recently taken action to strengthen the enforcement of parking restrictions – including double yellow lines – across the district.
“Officers will continue to review enforcement deployment plans in relation to any ongoing concerns.”
