A final consultation was recently launched by Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) on proposals for parking changes on Watford Road in Croxley, following residents’ feedback.
The initial consultation was launched after multiple local businesses signed a petition asking for long-term parking and increased flexibility for car users.
Some of the amendments to the original proposals include the introduction of double yellow lines on Hazelwood Road, Dorrofield Road and part of Watford Road; limited waiting parking places on two roads; pay and display parking places on four roads; and the removal of parking bays in favour of a single yellow line on Watford Road.
Councillor Paul Rainbow, TRDC’s lead member for transport, said: “Following helpful feedback, we have tweaked the proposed changes slightly to meet people’s concerns.
“We will endeavour to continue to listen and respond to clear calls for easier and available parking bays.”
