FAMILY FUN: More activities announced for annual Abbots Autumn Festival

Published on: 4th September 2023   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

More activities have been announced for the upcoming annual Abbots Autumn Fest.

This year, the festival takes place on School Mead from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, September 16.

A variety of fun family-friendly activities will be available, including drumming with Ian Bond of the New Hope Trust in the Reading Circle, and handling the exhibits brought along by the Natural History Museum at Tring.

Younger villagers can learn about the village’s own beehives with the Abbots Langley Gardening Society, and use Sunnyside Rural Trust’s apple press to make juice.

The Watford Cycle Hub will be running a cycling activity, while Hertfordshire Police are planning on bringing along a patrol car, and the library will be hosting a LEGO table.

There are also many charity and community stalls fundraising and showcasing what they offer to the village.

Additionally, there will be hot food vendors, a licensed bar and tombola, lucky dips and a host of other games for all ages.
