The 13th annual Rickmansworth Pancake Race is taking place on Tuesday, March 4. Watford Mencap are encouraging people to support the annual event which is being held at 11am in Rickmansworth High Street. The charity are organising the fund raising event with the Three Rivers Council Chairman, Les Mead as the official race starter. Participating teams are encouraged to wear fancy dress or company T-shirts and they will have the chance to win a prize. There will also be a prize on offer to the team who raise the most money. All money raised will go to Watford Mencap which supports more than 500 people with a learning disability and their carers in South West Herts. Fundraising Assistant, Rachel Schmitz said: “It’s a really fun event and an annual tradition in Rickmansworth. It brings the community together and all the money raised is for a great local charity. Last year we set a new record and raised over £2,500, we’re hoping this year will be even better.” If you would like to enter a team or you have any questions about the Pancake Race email Rachel at rschmitz@watfordmencap.org.uk.
