A Hatch End playwright and poet has released a book showcasing more than 70 poems.
Melville Lovatt, who is famous for his works such as play Small Mercies, released his monologue collection Dancing for England last month.
The collection features 74 poems written by Melville throughout the pandemic and cover a wide range of subjects.
Melville said he took a break from poetry to focus on his playwriting but has recently rediscovered his love for writing.
He said: “The great thing about writing poems is that once I’ve started writing, I can finish one in a bit two days, they’re a finished product.
“What I try to do in my poems is deal with emotions and the voice inside one’s head, I think poetry should be challenging but always accessible.”
