A 39-year-old man has been charged following a burglary in Watford earlier this week.
On Wednesday, January 4, at around 5.13am, Ocean Bells Coffee in the High Street was broken into. Almost £200 in cash was stolen from the till.
Officers attended and located a man nearby in an underpass on George Street, where he was arrested.
Jason Turner, from Brighton, East Sussex, was subsequently charged with burglary and possession of a bladed article.
He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 5, and was released on bail with conditions. He is next due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 30.
