An OnlyFans model and influencer has taken to promoting her account through billboards around London, sparking controversy among the Pinner community.
Although not initially created for this purpose, the OnlyFans website has become popular with adult accounts, where subscribers pay users to access their amateur pornography.
Eliza Rose Watson’s account is an explicit one and her new billboards, including the one on Cambridge Road in Pinner, feature a photo of her in her underwear, along with her OnlyFans and Instagram handles.
Eliza joined OnlyFans after overcoming addiction and becoming a gym fanatic, which lead to a career as a model and influencer. She now uses the platform to create homemade pornography content. At one stage during the pandemic, she was earning £100,000 a month.
The response to the billboards has been mixed.
One resident posted on Twitter: “You have to pay to view, so how is the advert explicit? You can’t see anything without a credit card.”
Another said: “Not OK. Plain and simple.”
Since being installed, the £23,000 billboard has been vandalised with the spray painted message: “Keep porn off our streets.”
Harrow Council spoke to Pinner News and said: “We are sorry to hear that this billboard advert has upset some of our residents. Although we do not have any control over content that is displayed on the billboard, we agree this advert is inappropriate. We advise residents to voice their concerns with the Advertising Standards Agency.”
