Bushey’s history is laced with community heroes, sensational services and famous artists and residents have been invited to get to learn more by becoming a volunteer at the museum.
On Thursday, October 10, the Bushey Museum and Art Gallery held an event to recruit all local historians who want to delve into the things that made the town what it is today.
Located in Rudolph Road, the museum displays the social history of the town through a range of medieval documents up until the present day.
Display cases currently display the work of pioneering film-director and composer Sir Hubert von Herkomer and Lucy Kemp-Welch who was the foremost painter of horses.
The museum was founded in 1983 and aims to collect and safeguard all the artistic heritage of Bushey.
You can visit the museum Thursdays to Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
