Police investigating a public order incident in Rickmansworth are appealing for the public’s assistance in their investigation.
The incident occurred shortly before 4pm on Friday, February 20, outside Café Nero on the High Street.
It was reported that the victim, a man, was sitting on the floor, when another man walked past and allegedly made threatening comments towards the victim, which included racially aggravated language.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assault on a police officer. He has since been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
Detective Constable Abi Wilkins, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this take place or has information about what happened; I would like to hear from you.
“I particularly want to hear from the person who potentially filmed the incident on a mobile device, as this evidence could significantly assist the ongoing investigation.”
