Police officers from Abbots Langley’s Safer Neighbourhood Team showed how they help the community as part of Neighbourhood Watch Week between June 3 and 9.
The team ran several events in the village designed to build a rapport with residents and to reduce levels of crime.
The first of these was a free bike marking and registering event at the police station.
Foot patrols took place in parks and community areas, having been identified as crime hotspots.
At Manor House Gardens and Leavesden Country Park, officers also ran a special park safety session and organised a dog watch patrol.
Speed enforcement in the High Street took place, as well as a patrol throughout Leavesden.
Posting on social media, the team said: “The work does not stop there; we are continuing to provide reassurance, target those who wish to do harm, and address any problems raised.”
