The Metropolitan Police were called to an estate in Edgware following reports of a man carrying a crossbow in the area this morning (Thursday, January 30).
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police received a concern for welfare call at 7.56am on Thursday, January 30, regarding a man in Warrens Shawe Lane, Edgware.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.
“The man was seen to be in possession of what is believed to be a crossbow.
“The man was detained at 9.49am and was arrested on suspicion of harassment and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He has been taken to hospital as a precaution and enquiries continue.”
