Plans to change the ground floor of a driving range into a restaurant have been approved at a planning meeting last month.
Hertsmere Borough Councillors agreed to plans at its planning meeting on May 16 to turn the driving range at Bushey Golf and Country Club into an indoor and outdoor dining restaurant.
The planning committee said in its report that the proposal “does not constitute inappropriate development within the green belt and would cause no significant loss of a key community facility.”
In recent months a wedding events company and a café opened inside the country club to bring the disused area to life.
Work on the restaurant must start within three years and must adhere to food safety legislation.
