A man on trial for 10 child sex offences is believed to be on the run in Watford after running away while on court bail.

Police in East Sussex are searching for 34-year-old Craig McAndrew from Newhaven, who bolted while on court bail part way through his trial for child sex offences, which began on September 9. He was found guilty of all offences in his absence.

Eight of the offences were committed against one of the girls and two against the other girl.

He attended the trial until lunch on September 10 but then absconded. The court issued a warrant for his arrest.

The trial continued and he was found guilty, in his absence, of all offences on Monday,September 16.
