NUMBER FIVE: Amersham Youth club opens up exciting new hub

Published on: 10th December 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Amersham Youth club is thrilled to have a new home after officially opening its No.5 centre.

The club is now located at No. 5, Chichester Row, after Mayor of Amersham, councillor Mark Roberts (pictured), cut the ribbon in November.

A spokesperson for Amersham Youth, which is open to 11-18 year olds every day after school, said following the opening: “We want to say a massive thank you to all the people who have made this centre what it is.

“From businesses donating materials for signs, to people bringing cakes and food for the clubs, there is a huge army of people behind the centre being how it is who don’t get any recognition but deserve so much.

“Our promise is to take what you’ve given and provide the best youth club we can in Amersham, be a home for young people and make a real difference in their lives.”

After being open for a week, the spokesperson added: “What an amazing first week we’ve had at No. 5. We’ve made food, friends, had fun and so much more.

“We’ve seen 69 young people over five days and been supported by 19 volunteer youth workers!”
