Police are investigating following reports of a burglary in Chorleywood.
Shortly after midnight (12.27am) on Tuesday, January 28, the Nisa Local on Main Parade was reportedly broken into.
A glass door panel was smashed and a large quantity of cigarettes were taken from behind the till.
The three suspects are described as being dressed in all black clothing.
A spokesperson for the shop said: “Looks like thieves have found a new village to target. Police and council have to come up with something or we will need to think about moving out of the area if it’s not safe to trade from.”
Enquiries continue, and anyone with information is asked to please contact police online or via 101, quoting crime reference 41/8657/25.
Cllr Andrew Scarth, the Lead Member for Community Safety & Partnerships at Three Rivers District Council, said: “I am very sorry to learn that a business in our district has been the victim of crime.
“Through the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) the council always supports the work of the police and other bodies including Neighbourhood Watch to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour, which we will continue to do in Chorleywood to help protect residents and businesses.
“I am pleased to note that this has been reported to the police, I would urge anybody who has any information to please get in touch with them.”
