A Londoner accused of beating up a Watford man and holding him and his son prisoner has been cleared by a jury.
Seun Daramola, 38, was alleged to have launched a baseball attack on the man at his home in Westland Road, Watford because he believed he had cheated him out of cash.
He was accused of going back a few days later and attacked him again, keeping the man and the teenager there against their will.
Daramola, of Byron Road, Wealdstone, North London, denied two charges of causing grievous bodily harm to the man in his 40s – one between January 10 and 15 this year and the other on Thursday January 20. He also denies falsely imprisoning the man and his son and possessing heroin and cocaine on January 20.
A jury at St Albans crown court today, (Wednesday, July 20) cleared him of all charges.
Daramola denied the prosecution case that he was a drug dealer, who believed he had been cheated out of cash by the complainant.
He said he had lent the man money and wanted it back. He said it had nothing to do with drugs and denied beating up or imprisoning anyone.
