A sustainable Watford-based company has donated much-needed funds to Herts Pride.
Nook & Niche, which manufactures a range of celebration designs for events, was a partner at the Herts Pride event that took place at Cassiobury Park on August 20.
They also held a stall at the event, raising money through selling rainbow decorations and novelty frames.
Nook & Niche presented the £216 cheque to Herts Pride on September 8, with councillor Rabi Martins and Clive Duffey, co-founder of Herts Pride, in attendance.
Director of Nook & Niche Simon Olley said: “The opportunity came to us to get involved with Clive to build on the momentum and the excitement and enthusiasm he brings to the Watford community was an absolute no-brainer for us.”
Speaking on receiving the money, Clive said: “We were so wonderfully pleased when Nook & Niche contacted us to form a partnership at Herts Pride. They told us why they wanted to help, which is fantastic for a local company doing the work that they do.
“It really helped us and gave us a lift and that feeling of something new came to Herts Pride so we were really happy, and we will continue our work with them.”
