A man has been charged with multiple offences following an incident at Tesco in Radlett this week.

It was reported that several bottles of alcohol were stolen from the store in Watling Street at around midday on Tuesday, June 27, before staff members were threatened.

Officers attended and fast-time enquiries ascertained that the suspect had boarded a train towards Borehamwood. The train was stopped, and a man was arrested.

A knife was recovered, along with bottles of alcohol.

Officers worked to gather evidence and Brian Frame, 35, of no fixed address, was subsequently charged with theft from a shop and threatening a person with an offensive weapon.

Following further enquiries, he was also charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article, in connection with an incident at The Local Supermarket in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, on Thursday, May 4.

He appeared before Hatfield Remand Court yesterday (Wednesday, June 28) where he was remanded into custody. He is next due to appear before St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday, July 26.
