A by-election is set to take place following the opening up of a seat on Chalfont St Peter Parish Council.
The casual vacancy has emerged in the village’s Gold Hill Ward, following the non-attendance of current councillor Tim Sandover at parish council meetings for six months, which automatically triggers the seat opening up.
Following the submission from 10 electors of a request for an election, a notice for the election has been placed around the village, with a preliminary date for the election being set for Thursday, February 23.
It is currently unknown which parties will be fielding candidates or who will be running for the role.
If you would like to talk through the parish councillor role, responsibility and commitment required, please contact the parish clerk by emailing clerk@chalfontstpeter-pc.gov.uk or by calling 07805 615228. The deadline for candidates to apply is January 29.
