A developer is looking to submit revised proposals to develop a former bus garage in Garston.
Fairview New Homes made some changes to the former scheme which laid out plans to demolish the former Arriva bus garage in St Albans Road and replace it with 165 flats.
The former plan was refused by Watford Borough Council (WBC) and a planning inspector.
Fairview has now reduced the number to 127 flats as there were concerns over the size of the development.
Councillors feared also losing a locally listed building and did not like the design proposed.
The new plans are now out for consultation with neighbours to the bus garage before being officially submitted.
Fairview are also proposing a reduction in height for some of the buildings.
