Community theatre group the Abbots Langley Players (ALP) are taking audiences to the seaside for their performances of The Last Tango in Whitby from November 21 to 23.
The group are not resting on their laurels after the success of their performances of The Regina Monologues in July, with rehearsals for their next production now well underway.
Annette Toms is directing the cast, involving nearly all the members of the company playing a group of badly behaved pensioners on their annual holiday.
Dancing and entertainment are on the agenda, but this is a tale of strained relationships, lost love, new beginnings, and a chance for old friends to adapt to changes in their circumstances.
The Last Tango in Whitby features laughter, sadness, double entendres and outrageous behaviour in large measure, and on the poster for the performance, the audience is promised they will be left “wondering how it’s all going to end”.
The shows will take place at the Henderson Hub on the High Street and tickets are available by calling 0844 804 5354 or from www.ticketsource.co.uk/alp
