Watford Town Cricket Club will be getting their season under way on Saturday April 20 when they host Grays at Woodside while the second team are away to Priory Park.
This season again Watford will have four Saturday teams all playing in the Herts League also a Sunday team, Midweek 20/20 team and an over 40 team as well.
Watford also has a very fine junior section with children from under six up to under 15.
The club will be looking to build on last season’s success when six of the junior team reached the Herts Junior Cricket Finals day and the club’s under 15 team became champions for the second year in a row.
Watford is this year working with the ECB to bring wheelchair cricket to Woodside too.
