Northwood FC have taken no time to rest after the abrupt end to their season – they are already making plans for next year.
The club’s Wall of Gratitude was unveiled at the beginning of the month, in thanks to all the supporters who contributed to ground improvements just over a year ago.
The names featured on the wall, which includes the late Pat Byrne, are those who helped raise the over £10,000 put towards the work.
That work was very close to completion when the season drew to a premature close in early March and there is just a few more cosmetic touches to add when things are back to normal.
Everyone who made a donation will be invited to the club to say thank you at a future game.
With the pandemic still ongoing, the club is struggling slightly financially while continuing to prepare for the new season.
As a way of raising money while offering fans a fantastic opportunity, the club is offering two types of season tickets: the regular season ticket, at a bargain price of £45 for all league games, or the deluxe 1926 Membership, costing £145.
The 1926 Membership, in addition to the Season Ticket, will also allow you to have: One Player Sponsorship (you can choose once the starting squad is known), one Sponsored Match (you can choose once the fixtures are known) – to include up to four people for Boardroom Hospitality on the day (if required), acknowledgement in the Award-Winning Match-Day Programme and an announcement on the PA.
The regular season ticket for league games includes free admission to all their Under-18 games in their midweek Youth league, plus possible discounted entry to league games for the club’s groundshare tenants.
