A Pinner resident achieved a new British record in the Berlin Marathon.
Nigel Rackham, 60, completed the marathon on September 25 in two hours and 41 minutes, breaking the previous V60 British Record by more than 40 minutes.
Speaking to PINNERnews, Nigel said it was great to take part in the marathon for the second time.
He said: “I am a keen runner and have been for a while. It was a wonderful race; I was lucky enough to get the British record for my age group.
“Running is a great way to keep fit and as long as I can do it, I will keep going.”
Nigel is a member of local running group Metros, which meets in Pinner, and wants to encourage more people to sign up.
