Sisters from Pinner will be raising money for St Luke’s Hospice on April 26 when they run nearly three miles.
Eesha, 12, and Ella Rawal, who is 13, are taking part in the 2.6 challenge, aimed at replacing the London Marathon and are keen to do the bit for the charity.
The selfless pair raise money for charity most years and in the past have supported Great Ormond Street Hospital and Save the Children among others.
The sisters explained what they are trying to achieve.
They said: “We are raising money in aid of St Luke’s Hospice and every donation will help. St Luke’s Hospice looks after people in Harrow and Brent whose illnesses are no longer curable. Currently the hospice has been supporting over 600 people at home and accepting rapid discharges from hospital including taking emergency admissions.
“They have experienced a difficulty in getting the necessary, PPE equipment and hand sanitisers with the local community stepping in to help. They are doing this whilst seeing a drop in income as their shops are closed and fundraising activities limited due to the lockdown.”
