NEW PLAN: Amersham Town FC launch new community engagement strategy

Published on: 9th April 2021   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Amersham Town FC are developing a new look and launching a huge community engagement plan.

This includes a new documentary following the forthcoming season; mascots at Saturday home matches; family season tickets at an affordable price; a new badge design and social media channels and a football festival for Kings Church Amersham FC.

The National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield plus Amersham College have been invited to start filming for a new documentary covering the forthcoming 2021/22 season and additional news pieces.

The documentary will feature the highs and lows of the season, interviews with club officials, players and the manager plus stories of the club’s past.

The club is working on plans to offer a new Family Season Ticket. This will allow two adults from the same family plus their children to enter every home game, league and cups, for the 2021/22 season for just £50.

Simon Damery, the Amersham Town FC chairman said: “there are huge benefits in Amersham Town FC working together with the community and these exciting new plans are designed to benefit everyone involved. We’re looking forward to returning to football and welcoming new supporters together with our existing fan base from the local community”.

The new 2021/22 season will also see mascots used for Saturday home matches. The mascots will be selected from local schools, football clubs and community groups.

Amersham Town FC and Kings Church FC (KCAFC) are planning the first ever joint Football Festival on Saturday July 3, 2021.

Furthermore, posters and leaflets featuring fixtures and news will be displayed in train stations, shops and noticeboards to improve the visibility of Amersham Town FC for the forthcoming season.

The club’s community engagement director, Darren Henderson, said: “The club has amazing facilities, the best pitch in the league, a brand-new clubhouse, a new manager and great team running the operation. Now it’s time to engage the community and let them know we’re open for business from the start of next season.”
