A brand-new website has been launched online that collates opportunities across the Three Rivers area for would-be volunteers together in one big database.
The new ‘Golden’ platform, hosted by the Watford & Three Rivers Trust (W3RT), already features more than 250 registered users. As well as that, 34 different opportunities are currently available on the website, hosted by 14 different organisations respectively.
Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) hopes that the new initiative will make it easier for local groups to manage their volunteering opportunities in the area, as well as helping out in the recruitment process for these kind of positions.
Volunteering can be a great way to give back to your community and can also benefit you yourself in multiple ways. It can boost CVs, teach new skills, provide a great way to make friends with similar interests and put the existing experience of partakers to use for a good cause.
To check out the website or use it to find any local volunteering opportunities, visit www.w3rt.org/volunteer, or email cvs@w3rt.org to discover more.
