It’s finally been confirmed that Canadian fast food restaurant Tim Hortons is set to move in at the site of Garston’s former Pizza Hut drive thru.
The ever-expanding chain, that first made its way to the UK in 2017 and now has just under 50 locations here, has been rumoured to be taking over the site ever since Pizza Hut closed in December of last year.
The new restaurant will create 75 jobs for the local community, with a variety of part-time and full-time roles on offer with progression and training opportunities.
Tim Hortons hopes Garston and Watford customers will be regaled with fare such as its signature coffee, bagels, donuts and other sweet treats
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchises in the UK stated: “We’ve seen a growing demand for our brand from communities surrounding the capital, so Watford felt like the perfect location for us with its vibrant town and dynamic community.
“We pride ourselves on our fresh quality food, delivered in a convenient manner and our drive-thru restaurant will offer just that for those in the town and neighbouring areas.
“We cannot wait to welcome fans and first timers to Tim Hortons in Watford later this year.”
