Dacorum Borough Council’s Adventure Playgrounds, in Adeyfield and Grovehill, have had a refurbishment with new play equipment and sporting areas.
The Hemel Hempstead playgrounds now have inclusive multi-play structures including climbing walls, a sandpit, water play and double tubular slides, ready for reopening when COVID-19 restrictions allow.
There are also new floodlit 3G artificial turf pitches and a multi-play basketball area for footballing and sporting needs, which are available to hire from Monday, March 29 in line with the COVID-19 roadmap allowing outdoor sports and leisure to take place.
The new facilities have been implemented with play and fitness in mind, to help challenge users physically and psychologically and to keep everyone in the community active.
