A new community race is coming to Hemel Hempstead this weekend.
Taking place on Sunday, May 18, the inaugural 10k by RunThrough will raise funds for The Hospice of St Francis.
To give participants and the public a preview of what to expect, RunThrough have released a behind-the-scenes video highlighting the course layout, event day experience, and charitable impact. The event village will be based at the Riverside Shopping Centre, where runners will begin and end their 10k. From the bustling town centre to Gadebridge Park, this fully closed-road 10k route offers runners a scenic experience.
Matt Wood, co-founder of RunThrough, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the Hemel Hempstead 10k to life in such a vibrant and welcoming town. This event isn’t just about running, it’s about uniting the community, celebrating local spaces, and supporting a cause that’s close to many hearts.”
Claire Jones, head of community and events fundraising, said: “We are delighted to be the charity partner of this new event that is being brought to Hemel Hempstead. Please consider joining The Hospice of St Francis running team; you will be supporting local people who have a life-limiting illness live their precious lives well. We are really looking forward to race day and cheering everyone on!”
