A motocross company is hoping to gain planning permission to install a new swimming pool in the grounds of a telecoms compound in Berkhamsted.
Chiltern Young Riders Motocross Track (CHYMT), located off Shootersway, was granted planning permission for the scheme in 2018, but no development was completed within the required three-year time period.
CHYMT’s resubmitted application in October of last year was rejected by the Planning Inspectorate on Tuesday, August 20, due to the “significant risk” it posed to local archaeology.
Their newest application, which was submitted on Thursday, October 17, includes the removal of a tower mast and cabins on the site, the relocation of two storage containers to one single-storey building and one two-storey building, and accommodation facilities in the loft.
A single-storey building would also be constructed for the swimming pool.
CHYMT first submitted an application for the swimming pool in August 2017.
CHYMT has been contacted for comment.
