A cheerleading team from Kings Langley are heading across the globe to continue their winning streak after being national champions.

Two teams from Twisted Cheer and Dance are heading to Sweden for the Jamfest Nordic competition on May 6.

The teams, Nemesis and Retribution, will then cheer against several other teams from across Europe.

Speaking to KINGSNEWS, head coach Ben said Nemesis, who are undefeated since becoming national champions at the end of March, are hoping to continue with their winning streak.

He said: “They are on a big high; they are on a good winning streak and are very keen to be keep it going.

“Over here in the UK, we know what the teams are about and what standard they are at, but in Sweden it will be completely different.”

Ben added that the trip is not just about winning, but also about allowing the teams to travel the world.

He said: “We want to give the teams the experience to travel and cheer in different countries. It’s important for us to remember that they can still want to win, but it is also about getting the experience of different countries and the different cheerleading styles.”

Nemesis will be competing in the Under 18 Level 2 division and Retribution will be competing in the Under 16 Level 1 division.
