Do you know a brave individual who deserves recognition? They may be the perfect fit to be nominated for a MyLocalHero Award.
Since its inception in 2009, the awards, held at the prestigious The Grove hotel, have celebrated heroes who have played an integral part in the community.
In the past, we have honoured people from all over our news patches whose dedication to making their communities better for everyone is deserving of commendation.
Two of our awards, the Outstanding Bravery Award and the Emily Mott Child of Courage Award, are given to a young individual and an adult who have shown bravery and strength in the face of adversity.
In 2022, Harry Wynne, who leapt into action and performed CPR on his grandad, won the Emily Mott Child of Courage Award. Meanwhile, Belle Creighton-Hudson won the Outstanding Bravery Award for stopping a young man from taking his own life.
If you would like to nominate someone for the Outstanding Bravery Award or the Emily Mott Child of Courage Award, please email nik@mynewsmag.co.uk
Other categories include Young Sporting Achiever, Above and Beyond, Young Achiever, Sporting Achiever, and Fundraiser of the Year.
