CUP DRAW: Hemel Town, St Albans City and Wealdstone learn FA Cup opponents

Published on: 15th October 2020   |   By: Geraint Roberts   |   Category: Hemel Hempstead Town F.C

The FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round draw has been made with Hemel Hempstead and Wealdstone both being drawn at home to face Hampton & Richmond Borough and Hayes & Yeading respectively.

St Albans City have been handed an away trip to fellow Hertfordshire-based side Bishop’s Stortford, who are in the league below the Saints.

Hemel Hempstead progressed to this round after their Third Qualifying Round opponents, Boston United, were forced to forfeit the tie due to a positive coronavirus test in the squad. The Tudors edged past Dunstable AFC in the previous round.

This will be Wealdstone’s first appearance in the cup this season after they were promoted to the Vanarama National League last season.

The Stones will be hoping to go at least one round better than last year’s campaign where they lost a replay against Maidenhead United at this stage.

St Albans comfortably beat Hitchin Town in the Second Qualifying Round but had to go through penalties on Tuesday night to beat Mickleover.

All ties are scheduled to take place on the weekend commencing October 24.
