A man who was charged with murdering three members of a Bushey family appeared in court on Thursday, November 28.
Kyle Clifford, 26, from Enfield, has also been charged with false imprisonment and two counts of possession of offensive weapons.
Clifford appeared at Cambridge Crown Court via video link.
Appearing in a wheelchair, the defendant did not enter a plea during the hearing, which was overseen by Mr Justice Johnson.
On Tuesday, July 9, Carol Hunt and her daughters Hannah and Louise were killed in their home in Ashlyn Close, Bushey.
An inquest in July heard that Mrs Hunt died from stab wounds to her chest and abdomen, while her daughters both died from crossbow bolt injuries.
The victims were the wife and daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt.
In September, Kyle Clifford appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where the court heard he had “shot himself”, resulting in life-changing injuries.
In a statement released by John and Amy shortly after the incident, the pair shared: “The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words. We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received.”
John returned to work only two months after the horrific attack saying: “I know the girls are with me at all times and would have been gently encouraging me to take a breath or two, and stride on.”
At the time of writing, a date for a further hearing has yet to be set.
