An author who has lived in Pinner for more than 30 years has released his new novel marking his seventh published.
Paul Mendelson, who is famous around for the town for his work writing the TV shows May to December and My Hero, which are both filmed in Pinner.
Now Paul has released Their Exits and Their Entrances which tells the story of retired actress Elspeth Quest and is based on Denville Hall, home for retired actors in Northwood.
Speaking to PinnerNews, Paul said he was blown away by some of the individuals he met whilst visiting the home and couldn’t not tell their stories.
He said: “I think my inspiration has been working with so many actors who are in their seventies and beyond who still feel they have so much to offer and are still full of vitality and even ambition. They will be performing until they die, provided their parts don’t dry up! (One elderly actor I worked with twenty years ago is currently the voice of Peppa Pig’s Grandpa – at 96!)
“This is my seventh book and I still feel that excitement when I first see my work in print. But even more when I learn that people are enjoying what I’ve written. As with my TV writing, that’s the greatest buzz.”
Residents are able to purchase the book in local book stores or online by searching ‘Their Exits and Their Entrances’ on Amazon.
