A plastic surgeon has been charged after allegedly colliding with multiple vehicles in Northwood and leaving two pedestrians needing surgery.
Hawys Lloyd-Hughes has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving after allegedly colliding with three vehicles and two pedestrians.
Lloyd-Hughes took to the dock at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 29, to confirm her name.
The incident took place in January last year. One of the vehicles involved was a private ambulance, which a driver was helping a patient out of.
The patient suffered multiple fractures after being hit by the car, including a laceration to the tissue of the skull and fractures to the thigh, left ring finger, thumb and rib bones. She was hospitalised and had to undergo surgery.
The driver of the ambulance was also injured, and his thigh bones were broken in more than one place. He also received hospital treatment and later required hip replacement surgery.
Lloyd-Hughes is a consultant plastic surgeon, specialising in skin cancer management and all aspects of aesthetic plastic surgery.
Lloyd-Hughes was bailed ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, February 26.
