A Hertfordshire police officer, who has been suspended from his role as prison liaison officer at The Mount in Bovingdon, appeared at Aylesbury Magistrates’ Court on January 11 after being charged with four counts of making indecent images of children. The case against detective constable Brian Rouse, 51, has been adjourned until February 9 when he is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court. DC Rouse was arrested after his details emerged during an investigation involving the National Crime Agency, into online child abuse. A follow-up inquiry was undertaken by specialist officers in the Hertfordshire’s Safeguarding Command which led to charges being brought. The offences are alleged to have occurred between January 2010 and July 2015.
