The family of Michael Rosen, the famous children’s author, former Poet Laureate and broadcaster from Pinner, has said he is ‘very poorly at the moment’ as he continues to be treated for suspected coronavirus in intensive care.
Michael was a student at Pinner Wood School and West Lodge and lived on Love Lane until he was 17.
After Michael said he was feeling unwell at the end of March, his family provided a further update on his Twitter account.
It read: “Michael is very poorly at the moment. Having spent a night in ICU, he is now doing ok, stable, alert and was able to go to a ward yesterday. Thank you very much for all your kind concerns.”
Michael said he was suffering from having icy hands, a hot head and freezing cold sweats.
The family provided a further update on April 5 praising the care Michael received from the NHS.
They say he has remained stable and is showing positive signs of improvement, but have requested for people to respect Michael’s privacy.
