An “exemplary” police officer has been presented with a prestigious award in recognition of her dedication, hard work and support for victims.
Police Constable Natasha Webbe, who works with the Hemel Hempstead Safer Neighbourhood Team, was presented with the Frank Mason Memorial Award in a ceremony in Hemel on Friday, April 12.
The award is named after PC Francis Mason, better known as Frank, who was fatally shot in 1988 after tackling a gunman. The award is presented to a Dacorum-based officer who has displayed PC Mason’s qualities of dedication and selflessness.
Since joining Hertfordshire Constabulary in 2018, PC Webbe has supported numerous victims of rape and domestic abuse, given vital first aid, and excelled in leading investigations.
She said: “It is an incredible honour. I have been inspired by Frank Mason and the bravery he showed, as well as the work of all the past winners, so it was a massive surprise to find out that I had won.
“I am very grateful to my supervisors and colleagues who have supported and encouraged me.”
