PC PERFECT: Police officers tackle criminal activity across St Albans

Published on: 3rd May 2024   |   By: Panayiota Demosthenous   |   Category: Uncategorized

St Albans police officers have been busy proactively tackling crime over recent weeks.

The St Albans police team reported on social media on March 27 that neighbourhood officers had arrested a 57-year-old male, a 22-year-old female and a 24-year-old female, all from London. The three had travelled to St Albans together and were believed to be involved in phone thefts throughout March.

The 24-year-old female was also wanted for a similar offence by the Metropolitan Police, and the 57-year-old male was found to be driving the vehicle he travelled to St Albans in without insurance. The vehicle was subsequently seized.

On March 28, St Albans police then reported that officers Clare Lapenna and Zack Hawley recovered stolen property from a burglary in Bricket Wood.

Mr Bannon, who reported the break-in, said: “I am so relieved to have my equipment back. I thought it was long gone and can’t believe police managed to find it all.”

PC Hawley, who returned the property to Mr Bannon, said: “It was nice to get a good result and return this property to its rightful owner.”

Following police patrols a week later, neighbourhood officers then stopped a vehicle, and found that it had been driven by a disqualified driver. The 60-year-old female from St Albans will now face another ban and a fine.
