Published on: 21st June 2024   |   By: Dean Shaw   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Kings Langley resident has opened a new bistro in the village which is named after his daughter.

Sam Cowham opened Matilda’s, in High Street, at the start of June in the building which was previously The Lunch Box.

Sam has a wealth of experience in the catering industry having supplied high quality food, including seafood, for more than 20 years.

The bistro will serve fresh food made from quality ingredients with dishes such as poke bowls, chicken teriyaki, deli meats and a range of breakfast items on offer.

Sam is supported in his new business adventure by his wife, Hannah, with bistro named after their daughter, Matilda, who is five years-old and goes to school in Chipperfield.

Sam told Kings News: “We’re really excited about Matilda’s and delighted that after months of hard work we are now open.

“We live in Kings Langley and had an interest in opening a bistro as soon as we heard that the The Lunch Box was closing.

“There has been a lot of excitement especially recently as the final touches to the bistro were coming together. We had a lot of people walk by and ask questions about Matilda’s.

“The bistro is friendly and vibrant with a range of fresh foods. We’re passionate about that, we won’t just reheat food, for us it’s all about that quality.”
