A man who died in hospital on Monday after an alleged assault at West Herts Golf Club on Saturday night has been named as Terry Hutchinson. Mr Hutchinson, who was believed to be in his mid 60s, was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital, London, after the incident in the golf club car park but sadly died two days later from his injuries. Chairman of the club, David Shelley, expressed his sincere condolences to Mr Hutchinson, who was a member of the golf club from 1999 to 2009, and his family saying “it was a very sad and untimely loss.” A 51-year-old man from Redbourn has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He has been bailed until August 17, while the police continue to investigate.
