A man has been taken to hospital after falling through a roof in Rickmansworth whilst carrying out work.
Police, an ambulance from Watford and and one fire engine all attended the scene at The Byeway between 8:15am and 8:55am this morning (July 6), following reports of a man injuring himself on a roof whilst working on it.
Firefighters were able to safely move the stricken person into the ambulance, with paramedics treating him at the scene before taking him to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and care, as confirmed by the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS).
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: ” Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.25am this morning, to advise they were dealing with an incident in The Byeway, Rickmansworth.
“It was reported that a man had fallen while working on a roof and had been injured. Officers attended to provide assistance to fire and ambulance crews at the scene. The man was taken to hospital and the Health and Safety Executive have been informed.
“There is no further police involvement in the matter.”
