A man has died after being struck by a train at Kings Langley station. The incident, which is being described as “non-suspicious”, occurred just after 7.30pm last night with the man being pronounced dead at the scene. The incident caused a number of delays on the line, with London Midland running replacement bus services between Watford and Kings Langley. Network rail resumed control of the line after 9.30 last night. A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman told My Kings News: “BTP officers were called to Kings Langley rail station, on Thursday, 27 February to a report that a man had been struck by a train. “Officers from BTP and Hertfordshire Police attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 7.36pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.” He added: “Medics from the East of England Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are currently working to formally identify the man and inform his family and a file will be prepared for the Coroner. The line was handed back to Network Rail at 9.34pm.”
