A man has been arrested and his vehicle seized by police after they discovered that he was wanted for failing to appear in court.
Stanmore Park Police teamed up with Hatch End Police to make the arrest on Saturday, January 4.
The man, who was wearing a dark grey coat and joggers, was pictured being arrested by two members of the police. His white van was also seized by police.
In a post on X, Hatch End Police said: “Yesterday whilst our patrols continued in Harrow Town Centre, your officers assisted Stanmore Park Police who came across a male who was wanted for failing to appear along with driving with no insurance. The male was arrested and the vehicle was seized.”
The initial penalty for having an uninsured vehicle licence can include the vehicle being seized, impounded, clamped or destroyed; a £300 fixed penalty; six penalty points on your licence; and paying a fee to release your car.
On top of that, courts can issue an unlimited fine and a driving ban for the offence.
