A family-owned pub in Bushey Health underwent major refurbishment last month and is ready to welcome customers old and new over the festive period.
The Three Crowns pub in Bushey Heath, based on the High Street, is the oldest Inn of Bushey in continuous service as a public house since 1749. The owner recently retired and the pub has been overtaken by Kat Duffy, who grew up there.
The kitchen area has been completely refurbished and new facilities installed, which reopened to the public on November 8.
Bobbi Prowse, Business Development Coordinator at The Three Crowns said: “We are hoping to interact with the community even more and see what we can give back. We’re very lucky we have had the support of the community and that after lockdown everybody was keen to come back and see their friends and enjoy our food.”
For the last 15 years the pub has run a weekly charity quiz on Tuesdays, raising more than £120,000 for various charities. This November, they raised over £500 for The Poppy Appeal.
