Canons Park parkrun celebrated its 350th edition on Saturday, November 30, in a landmark achievement for the event.
According to a post on the parkrun website, 187 people ran, jogged and walked the course on the special day, 32 of whom were first-timers, and 18 recorded new personal bests. Representatives from 19 different clubs took part.
The post states: “We had tourists from Bracknell, Clapham, Tooting, Edinburgh, Woking, Tring, Wendover and Huntingdon.”
Canons Park parkrun began on October 8, 2016, and since then, 8,208 participants have taken part, covering a total distance of 248,135km, including 7,523 new personal bests. A total of 646 individuals have volunteered 6,485 times.
Canons Park parkrun is hosting four festive parkruns over the festive season, all taking place at 9am. Christmas-themed events took place on Saturday, December 21, and will also take place on Christmas Day.
There will then be a run on Saturday, December 28, and another on New Year’s Day.
