Thames Valley Police (TVP) have shared heartfelt messages in memory of a former officer from Tring.

On January 15, 2019, Police Constable Kevin Flint was travelling home to Tring after a shift in Chesham. Driving his motorbike down the A41, PC Flint was struck in the chest by a pheasant, causing the officer and his bike to collide with a recovery vehicle in a lay-by.

He sadly died at the scene. The father-of-two had been with the force for 27 years.

On the six-year anniversary of his death, TVP shared messages and condolences.

TVP said: “Today, we remember Police Constable Kevin Flint who tragically died in 2019.”

One resident responded: “Kevin was one of Great Missenden’s policemen. One of the best. Always had a smile, very friendly.”

Another said: “On that fateful day, he’d come into my shop to speak about a spate of shoplifting. I remember thinking what a lovely guy!”
